Case Study – Burglary of a Global Financial Services Provider

Who:

A bespoke financial services company.

Current Situation:

The company suffered a number of intrusions resulting in a limited loss of items. The intrusions occurred towards the end of the working day. General fly-tipping by local residents and companies. The car park was being used at weekends by an unauthorised local driving school.

Challenges:

An old fashioned board of gentlemen who are opposed to change.

Risk:

A reoccurrence of an intrusion with the potential for the loss of confidential information or worse, harm being inflicted on an employee during an attack.

Review:

A comprehensive review of the building structure and systems, access control operating procedures, protocols and the approved pending plans was undertaken

Outcome:

The recommendations were finally embraced and the comments against the projected new build incorporated within the overall scope.
